Where builders connect
and work gets done.

The Hub is NexTrium's community and innovation programme. It brings builders together around real problems, creates the conditions for collaboration, and produces products that would not exist otherwise.

Three things.
All of them real.

01
Events
We organise hackathons, workshops, and community sessions that bring builders together around real problems. Every event is designed to produce something, not just discuss it.
02
Collaboration
Teams from different backgrounds work together on products that none of them could ship alone. We create the structure. They bring the ideas and the drive.
03
Community projects
Products built through Hub events are owned by the teams that built them. NexTrium provides the platform, the mentorship, and where possible, the infrastructure.

Every event
produces something.

Built by the community.
Owned by the teams.

AgriDatum
Team OSWEB
Smallholder farmers across West Africa are excluded from loans, insurance, and premium trade agreements because they have no verifiable record of their activity. AgriDatum gives farmers ownership of their harvest data by recording it on the Cardano blockchain, creating tamper-proof, auditable proof of production that financial institutions and buyers can trust. An integrated AI assistant provides real-time irrigation and drainage guidance, helping farmers make water-smart decisions under changing climate conditions. Smart contract payments ensure funds release only after verified delivery, eliminating middlemen and enabling fairer trade. All blockchain complexity is handled invisibly; farmers interact only with a simple mobile interface.

TechKR
Team TechKR
Nigeria has millions of skilled people, developers, designers, artisans, and tradespeople who remain unemployed or underutilized not because they lack ability, but because they lack visibility and structured access to opportunity. TechKR is a platform that connects skilled individuals to paying clients through verified profiles, reputation scores, and a structured marketplace built for Nigerian realities. The platform validates ability, makes talent discoverable, and gives workers fair access to demand. As more people earn from their skills, income circulates locally, small businesses grow, and communities become more economically resilient.

K33P
Team K33P
Fifteen percent of crypto users lose access to their wallets every year, putting over 140 billion dollars in assets at risk. For everyday Nigerians operating primarily on mobile phones, in markets, on campuses, and in small businesses, the threat of wallet loss is not theoretical. K33P is a biometric-secured, decentralized vault that protects seed phrases using zero-knowledge proofs and encrypted decentralized storage. There are no passwords to remember, no paper backups to lose, and no single point of failure. Recovery is designed for non-technical users: if a device is lost, stolen, or damaged, assets remain secure and recoverable without exposing sensitive data.

LearnBuddy
Team Alpha
Data costs price millions of Nigerian students out of digital learning. LearnBuddy brings education to WhatsApp, the platform already on nearly every phone in Nigeria, turning any basic device into a low-data classroom. Students access course content, voice notes, and feedback asynchronously without needing a laptop or a reliable 4G connection. The system is designed to evolve from a simple messaging-based learning tool into an AI-personalised education platform with automated progress tracking, digital certificates, and support for students with disabilities through voice interfaces and multilingual translation.

CampusVox
Team Blockprint
Nigerian university students face persistent infrastructure and welfare failures, overcrowded classrooms, poor learning environments, and broken communication channels, with no reliable mechanism to surface these issues credibly. CampusVox is a decentralized student governance platform where students document and validate real campus problems using blockchain-backed verification on Cardano. Validated issues aggregate across institutions, including UNILAG, LASU, and YABATECH, creating a transparent cross-campus view that sponsors, NGOs, alumni, and governing bodies can act on. The platform does not replace existing administration; it creates an accountability layer that makes student concerns impossible to ignore or bury.

OgaTicha
Team Cryptex
Special needs education in Nigeria is a shadow system, most students are either in expensive private centers or kept at home due to stigma and inaccessible materials. OgaTicha is an offline-first AI tutor designed specifically for Nigerian students with visual, mobility, and learning impairments. Using voice recognition and adaptive interfaces, it makes WAEC and NECO curricula accessible from home without requiring data connectivity or expensive hardware. Teachers benefit too, OgaTicha acts as a classroom assistant that helps mainstream schools integrate students with disabilities without requiring specialist expertise for every learning need. Long-term, student progress is recorded via decentralized identities on Cardano, creating a lifelong achievement record that bypasses physical barriers to employment.

RecycleConnect
Team Inclusive
Lagos generates over 14,000 metric tons of waste daily. Most of it ends up in landfills or waterways, not because recyclers do not exist, but because the system connecting them to households is fragmented, informal, and financially unreliable. RecycleConnect is a decentralized marketplace that connects Lagos households directly to verified informal waste collectors via a mobile application, with instant Cardano-based micropayments replacing the delayed, middleman-dependent payment chains that keep collectors earning below sustainable income. Collectors build verifiable transaction histories on-chain, unlocking access to microloans and formal financial services. Every successful collection diverts recyclable material from open burning and clogged drains, turning an environmental liability into economic value for the communities closest to the problem.

Zero
Team Colossus
Nigerian banks and fintechs rely on centralised, editable internal systems to track employee actions, a structure that makes insider fraud easy to execute, slow to detect, and straightforward to cover up. Zero is a tamper-proof internal audit layer that logs sensitive financial actions on a private permissioned blockchain, paired with AI that flags unusual behaviour in real time. When a transaction is questioned, the record cannot be altered retroactively. When an employee acts outside normal parameters, the system surfaces it before damage spreads. Zero does not change how customers interact with their bank, it changes how institutions hold themselves accountable, setting a standard that can be adopted across the West African financial sector.

Ratify
Team Ratify
Community fundraising in Nigeria fails not because people are unwilling to give, but because they cannot verify where their money goes. Ratify replaces the middleman with code. Smart contract escrows hold every contribution until campaign goals are met, if they are not, funds are automatically returned to donors without any manual intervention. Campaign progress and creator withdrawals are visible in real time, without requiring donors to navigate block explorers or understand blockchain technology. For legitimate community builders and regenerative projects, Ratify removes the credibility barrier, a history of successful, verified campaigns becomes a visible, on-chain reputation that unlocks future funding without bank loans or institutional approval.

CivicChain
Team CivicChain
Nigeria's informal economy accounts for over 57 percent of GDP, yet the workers driving it, traders, artisans, and transport operators, have no digital identity, no verifiable transaction history, and no way to prove their economic activity to access credit or support. CivicChain addresses this by giving informal workers verifiable digital identities and transparent payment records on a decentralized ledger. For workers, a verified identity unlocks access to credit and financial services. For local governments, transparent payment records reduce revenue leakage from cash-dependent systems. For aid distribution, on-chain records ensure funds reach intended recipients without intermediary loss. The platform works with existing informal structures rather than disrupting them, gradually formalizing activity in a way communities can trust and adopt.
