NexTrend Labs hosted the Cardano Intersect DRep Workshop at the University of Lagos, bringing together 22 attendees for a full day of governance education, interactive training, and community building. The session ran from 11:15 AM to 4:15 PM WAT and marked one of NexTrend's earliest physical community gatherings. The programme opened with a keynote from Abdulbasit Abdulrahman, Founder of NexTrend Labs, covering the Cardano blockchain ecosystem, the role of Intersect, and related governance structures, including SPOs, the Interim Constitutional Committee, and Delegated Representatives. The main session was an interactive DRep training programme anchored by Abdulbasit, walking attendees through official Intersect documentation and fielding questions on how to register as a DRep, how to delegate voting power, minimum voting power requirements, governance action assignment, and whether true decentralisation is achievable. A live demonstration of the DRep registration process was conducted on the SanchoNET testnet.
