What you will be doing.

At NexTrium, the quality of our documentation reflects the quality of our thinking. We are building open protocols, developer tools, and community infrastructure that other people will need to understand, adopt, and build on. As Technical Writer on the founding team, you will be the person who makes our work legible to the world. You will write the documentation, guides, and technical content that allow developers, contributors, partners, and users to engage with what we are building without needing to ask us to explain it. Your work will span product documentation, API references, onboarding guides, protocol specifications, grant reports, and contributor resources. You will work closely with engineers to understand what has been built, with product managers to understand how it is meant to be used, and with the founders to ensure that everything we publish meets the standard NexTrium holds itself to. This role suits someone who combines technical comprehension with genuine writing ability. You do not need to be a developer, but you need to be comfortable reading code, asking precise questions, and translating complex technical concepts into clear, accurate prose without losing the substance.

What we are looking for
Demonstrated experience writing technical documentation, developer guides, API references, or equivalent content to a high standard
Ability to read and understand code across multiple languages well enough to document it accurately
Strong command of written English with a clear, precise, and consistent voice
Experience working with documentation tools and formats including Markdown, Notion, GitBook, or equivalent
Ability to structure complex information hierarchically so that readers can navigate it efficiently
Familiarity with developer documentation standards and best practices
Experience writing for multiple audiences including technical developers, non-technical stakeholders, and end users
Comfort working closely with engineering and product teams to extract accurate information and translate it into documentation
Understanding of blockchain, decentralised systems, or open-source software documentation is a strong advantage
Strong attention to detail with zero tolerance for ambiguity, inaccuracy, or inconsistency in published documentation
Clear written communication for async remote collaboration and a genuine belief that good documentation is itself a form of product excellence
