Full-Stack Developer

About the role

What you will be doing.

NexTrium is building technology for markets that have been underserved by the systems that exist today. As a Full-Stack Developer on the founding team, you will work directly on the products and infrastructure that define what NexTrium is. This is not a support role. You will own features end to end, make architectural decisions, and ship work that real users will interact with. We work across web applications, APIs, blockchain integrations, and data systems. The stack varies by product, but our current primary environment is Next.js, TypeScript, Supabase, and Tailwind on the frontend, with Node.js and Python on the backend. Cardano and Midnight blockchain integrations are part of our roadmap. You will work closely with the founders, contribute across multiple products simultaneously, and have visibility into every part of what we are building. Early contributors shape the culture, the codebase, and the direction of the company. That is what this role offers.

What we are looking for

Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript, with experience in at least one modern frontend framework (Next.js, React, or equivalent)

Solid backend experience with Node.js, Python, or similar

Comfort with relational databases and REST or GraphQL APIs

Understanding of version control with Git and collaborative development workflows

Ability to read, write, and reason about code independently without constant supervision

Strong problem-solving instinct and a bias toward shipping working software over perfect software

Genuine interest in the problems NexTrium is solving, particularly around trust, financial inclusion, and African technology infrastructure

Ability to communicate clearly in written English, since we are remote and async by default
